Non-toxic: no risk of toxic fumes being released while (over)heated. In technical terms, no PTFE fumes that cause headaches and fever, or, as more and more studies show, even worse. These fumes are already released at a temperature of 270 °C, which is not so high when cooking. 
eco-friendly: environmental risks that come with the production of the traditional coating are eliminated. This means that no PFOA is used. PFOA is a very harmful chemical for man, animal and nature in general. The chemical isn’t degradable and stays in the environment for ages.
